NEW YEARS DAY RUN

The Charles O’ Shea Memorial 10K Road Race will take place in Beaufort on January 1st at 12 noon. There is also a 5K fun run which will start at the same time. This year, all entrants in the 10K & 5K races will receive a special edition reusable coffee mug which is sure to become a collectors item. Registration will take place beforehand in the Community Hall while post race refreshments will also be served in the hall. Come along and get your year off to an active start. All runners & walkers are very welcome.

ALL IRELAND CROSS COUNTRY

Congratulations to both Niamh Clifford and Kerry Eager who were representing their club and county recently at the All Ireland Cross Country Championships in Abbotstown. Both runners acquitted themselves very well on the day and there is plenty more to come from these two excellent runners.

JINGLE RUN

The annual Puck Warriors Jingle Run took place in Killorglin on November 23rd. This is always a great event on the running calendar. As always we had a good number of club members taking part in both the 10K & 5K races. We also had some podium finishers on the day. Congratulations to Gillian Murphy (2nd) and Vivian Juffs (3rd) in the 10K. also to Luke Diggin who was 3rd in the 5K. Well done also to Cormac O’ Shea, James Clifford, Catherine Riordan, Anna Foley, Siobhan O’ Keefe, Patricia Corbett, Mary Carey & Darragh Clifford.

RUN RUDOLPH RUN

This annual festive 5K run which is organised by An Riocht

AC took place in Castleisland last Sunday. Conor O’ Mahony of An Riocht was 1st home while Carol Finn of Leevale AC took the honours in the ladies race. Well done to Stephen Griffin, Siobhan Falvey & Sean Murphy who were representing the club on the day.
