We also send our condolences to John’s sisters, Rosaleen (Evans), Keel, Tess (O’ Reilly), Callinafercy, Joan (Burke), Tralee and Ann (Foley), Glencar and their extended families.
On Friday, January 17th, the news of the death Joanne O’ Connor, (nee Coffey) Milltown and Firies was met with much sadness. We extend our condolences to Joanne’s children Daniel, Gearóid, Laura and Leanne and to her husband Jerry. We also think of Joanne’s mother Nancy, her sisters Kathleen, Anne, Helena and Martina, her brothers Clive and Wayne and their extended families. May John and Joanne rest in peace.
Volunteer and have fun along the way: There are so many areas in our club where you can volunteer. Be it helping out with serving refreshments at our cards on a Tuesday night, selling Lotto tickets at our home games or getting involved in our Fundraising Campaign. There is also opportunities to perhaps helping with traffic management at drop off and collection on Thursday evenings- when our fun football academy returns for the coming season. If any member is interested in getting involved in our busy and dynamic club here in Milltown Castlemaine, we would be more than delighted to welcome you in. I, personally as PRO would welcome any assistance with regard to getting a few details back on any underage games. As a club, we endeavour to give fair and balanced publicity to all age groups- from under 6 to seniors. If you are a parent or guardian of a player in any of the underage teams, please get in touch with me, Deirdre, on 086 1703332. Every little helps. If you think your ‘little bit of help’ would be insignificant, then I guess you haven’t spent time with a mosquito! I look forward to hearing from you!! Fundraising Lotto Jackpot is now: €11,800 Our next Lotto draw will take place on this Friday January 24th, in The Castle Inn, Castlemaine-with €11,800 on offer.
