MEK join Listowel Celtic at top with win over Fenit Samphires

WITH Listowel Celtic not playing MEK Galaxy have joined them on 13 points, but do have a game more played after their win over Fenit. Izzy McGrath, Sarah Fitzgerlad and Orla Barrett got the MEK goals.

Killarney Celtic are also onto 13 points in a very tight division after they saw off Iveragh United. Inter Kenmare are only a point behind the leaders after goals from Phoebe O’Shea, Laura O’Shea (two), Sophie Ryan and Kate McElligott.

Division 1

THE two unbeaten sides in the division met and both still remain unbeaten as Castleisla­nd and Killarney Celtic drew 4-4. Castleisla­nd still lead the Division by three points, but do have a game more played.

Celtic who led 2-1 at the break had goals from Emma Daly (three) and Jessica Leggate, while Amelia Kerins and Erin O’Connor got two each for Castleisla­nd.

LB Rovers who are in third missed the chance to close the gap as they were also held to a draw with their game against the Park ending 3-3. Roisin

Fogarty (two) and Kate Horgan scored for LB with Kaja Huserova, Taylor Kate Leane and Aoife Begley getting the Park’s goals.

Dingle Bay Rovers moved level with LB after their 4-0 home win over Fenit. Ciara Kennedy got (two) with Sibeal Ni Seaghdha and Hannah NicGearlai­lt also on the mark. Killarney Celtic Gold had two goals from Casey Mulry, but it wasn’t enough to get anything for their game against Ballyheigu­e who won 3-2.

Premier GIRLS UNDER 17

IN the Under 17 Girls Premier Listowel Celtic were 5-0 winners away at Inter Kenmare to remain unbeaten in their five games. There was a very competitiv­e game on Sunday with Fenit just getting the better of Killarney Athletic 2-0.
