Éigse na Brídoeige will take place at the end of this month in Uíbh Ráthach. The theme of this year’s Éigse is Climate Change and three great guests will be talking about this theme in the Pobal Hall in Skellig on February 1st. Kevin Flannery from the Sea Life in Dingle will be kicking off the proceeding­s at 10:30 am talking about ‘Fisheries: We have lost the sea of the sea.’ Then local filmmaker Vincent Hyland from ‘Wild Derrynane’ will be talking about ‘Impact’. Climate Change on the sea after 30 years. ‘Finally, the lecturer, Dr. Eugene Farrell from the National University of Ireland, Galway talking about the “Challenges of the Seaside Pipelets’ Everyone is welcome to this wonderful event.
