PS Sliabh Luachra Rathmore have been the surprise package of the competition reaching the semi final on merit.

Working off the smallest numbers of boys in the last four will not faze the East Kerry school. Tralee CBS provide serious opposition in the semi final on Saturday, February 1.

EAST KERRY SENIOR LEAGUE DIVISION 3 Cordal 2-12 Kilgarvan 0-18

BOTH teams served up a good competitive game of football for the last Sunday of January in good underfoot conditions in Cordal.

Kilgarvan raced in to 0-5 to 0-2 lead before a mix up in their defence saw the ball roll in to an empty net to leave the scores level. Cordal had goal chances but failed to take them, leaving the time score, Cordal 1-5 Kilgarvan 0-8.

Cordal came out stronger in the second half and led for the entire half but failed to hold out for the win. Currow referee James Brosnan gathered both teams together before the start ofthegameandwentthroughthe new rules with the players.

All in all a draw was probably a fair result.
