LISTOWEL/TRALEE U-18s had no joy against Waterpark last Saturday. Listowel/ Tralee started well and used the breeze effectively to dominate territory for most of the first half. They won two kickable penalties and Seamus Lyne converted both see the home side lead 6-0 with 20 minutes gone. Emil Beauseigneur was outstanding in the tackle and Igor Qwas was unrelenting against much bigger opponents.

Disaster struck on the stroke of half time when Listowel/Tralee conceded a try in the corner, and then a penalty to trail 8-5 at the break.

Listowel/Tralee played into the breeze in the second half but hard carries from Cale Sweeney and Caoimhin Finn helped to keep them on the front foot. There was a lot of attacking play from both teams but no further scores until the last few minutes of the game when Waterpark crashed over to extend their lead to 15-6.

Listowel/Tralee came close to narrowing the gap when their lively scrum half Sean Pullen was bundled into touch a metre out. Listowel/Tralee lost influential players Cian Regan, Kian Dowling, Scott Ryan and Jerry Finnegan to injury in a hard-fought match.

In the last minute Waterpark broke through in midfield and scored under the posts to give a lop-sided final score of 22-6.
