Sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of Mary Kelliher, Leamnaguil­lea. The removal was from O’Sheas Funeral Home to the Church of St Gertrude, Firies and after Requiem Mass on Thursday to Kilquane cemetery, Barraduff. The death has taken place of Michael (Mick) Dennehy, Rossanean, Currow. The removal was from the Parish Centre to Killeentie­rna Parish Church on Sunday evening with Requiem Mass and burial in St Michael’s cemetery on Monday.

Sympathy is extended to his family, relatives and friends. Sympathy is also extended to the family, relatives and friends of Connie Fitzgerald, Currans.

Reposal was in Tangney’s Funeral Home on Monday evening with Requiem Mass in Currans Church on Tuesday followed by burial in Ardcrone cemetery. May they rest in peace.

CONGRATULA­TIONS

Congrats to Sarah Kennedy who won the 500m under 18 in an Irish record time and also the 1000m under 18 at the National indoor rowing championsh­ips in UL on Saturday in a near record time. Her sister Louise finished well up in her age category. David Kenny completed the 5k walk in 19 min 45 sec to take first place at an Internatio­nal indoor event in Paris also on Saturday. Darragh Donohue received the Jimmy Keane Shield as minor player of the year at a presentati­on in Farranfore on Friday night. Well done to all these young people who have been rewarded for their dedication.
