1. CONCERT IN BENNER’S IN AID OF SIOBHAIN

A FUNDRAISIN­G concert will be held in Benner’s Hotel on the night of Friday January 31 in aid of Tralee woman Siobhain Maher Sequeval.

Playing on the night will be bands such as Midnight Café, Zedz Dead, Renovator and Brightside while DJ Alan will provide music after until late.

Tickets for this event will cost €15 in the run up to the event (on sale in the Cearnóg, Benners Hotel, Baily’s Corner or ‘That’s Perfect’ or it will cost €20 on the door on the night.

2. GUESS THE CHEF IN BALLYBUNIO­N ON JANUARY 31

GUESS the chef is back, a four course dinner prepared by a visiting Mystery Chef.

There will be a prize for the person who can correctly guess the identity of the chef on the night; proceeds from the night will go towards the Kerry Hospice Foundation.

It will be held in Kilcooley’s County House in Ballybunio­n on January 31; tickets for the nightare €32.50 per person. Please phone 068 27112.

3. FUNDRAISER QUIZ FOR DERRYQUAY NS

A Tráth Na Gceist quiz fundraiser for Derryquay Natioal School will be held at Tig Mike O’Neill’s in the Railway Tavern in Camp this Friday January 31.

Starting at 9pm, organisers say that all support on the night will be very much appreciate­d on a night that will surely be great craic.

4. ROCK & ROSE VICTORY SOCIAL IN TRALEE

AUSTIN Stacks GAA club will host ‘The Rock & Rose’ in the Rose Hotel in Tralee on Saturday February 22.

The night will celebrate what was another great year for the Tralee club who had six trophy successes in 2019; the night will begin with a champagne reception at 7.30pm.

5. FOIL, ARMS & HOG TO PLAY IN KILLARNEY

FOR those not in the know, the dublin comey trio that is Foil, Arms & Hog will take to the stage in the INEC in Killarney on Thursday February 6.

The show will kick off at 8:30pm and tickets are currently on sale from the INEC website for €38.50 or by calling the INEC box office on 064 66 71555.

If you haven’t seen these guys live before, don’t miss out.

6. NIGHT AT THE OSKARS IN LISTOWEL

IN an event that organisers are saying will be one of the biggest events in the town in quite some time, Listowel Celtic will hold their ‘Night at the Oskars’ fundraiser in the Listowel Community Centre on Saturday Februatry 29.

The show will kick off at 8pm on the night and tickets for this great night will cost just €25.

7. ‘NO PLACE LIKE ROME’ IN SIAMSA TÍRE

WHY not pop in Tom McCarthy’s Bar in Castleisla­nd on February 1 for a cup of coffee and to enjoy some home baking?

The family of the late Margaret Reidy are hosting a coffee morning and all funds raised will go to the Palliative Care Unit/Kerry Hospice Foundation.

All are welcome to attend a great fundraisin­g morning for a great cause.

8. FUNDRAISER DANCE IN PORTMAGEE

PORTMAGEE Community Centre will hold a fundraiser dance on Saturday February 15; music will be provided on the night by Timmy O’Connor and The Glen Rambler.

Doors will open on the night at 9pm and music will take place on 9:30pm to 12pm.

All are welcome on the night to help out.

9. TRALEE MUSICAL SOCIETY ‘MR & MRS’ EVENT

TRALEE Musical Society will hold their ‘Strictly Come Dancing Mr & Mrs’ event in the Ballyroe Heights Hotel on Saturday February 8 in what surely promises to be a great night out for all.

Tickets for this event are on sale for just €20 and are available by contacting the Tralee Musical Society through their Facebook page.

10. GET EXERCISING THIS WEEKEND WITH PARKRUN

WHY not try to head down to take part in one of the many parkruns taking place around Kerry at the weekends? There are five parkruns in Kerry: Tralee, Killarney, Listowel, Inch Beach and the Tralee junior parkrun.

These free 5km events are run every weekend by volunteers and they have been proven to be extremely popular in improving both physical and mental health.

The Tralee. Listowel and Killarney parkruns are held every Saturday morning from 9:30am onwards while the Tralee Junior parkrun takes place on Sunday at 9:30am - these 2km events are aged for children from 4-14 years old.

People can register and print off their run barcodes at parkrun. ie.
