EAST KERRY SENIOR LEAGUE we opened our 2020 season on Tuesday night last against local rivals Legion. A largely experiment­al side played admirably going down on a scoreline 1-12 to 1-09. Leading at half-time 1-06 to 0-07 the concession of a penalty midway through the second half was the ultimate game changer.

ANNUAL AWARDS our annual awards night takes place on Friday 21st February in Scott’s Hotel commencing at 8.30pm. Presentati­ons on the night will be made to Club person of the Year Paul Downey Senior Player of the Year Tony Brosnan, Junior Player of the Year John Kerrisk, Young Player of the Year Mark Cooper, Supporter of the Year Harry and Ann Bartlett, Ladies Player of the Year Charlene Brosnan and Hurler of the Year Michael Lenihan. A special award will be made to the 6 Dr. Crokes players who were on the Kenmare/Kilgarvan/ Dr. Crokes team who won U21 Co. Hurling championsh­ip Michael Horgan, Michael Lenihan, Padraic Looney, Tom Doyle, Liam McSherry, Patrick Crehan. The Senior ladies will receive their county league winners medals, The second team will receive the Molyneux Cup medals and Minor and under 21 will receive their East Kerry Medals. Entertainm­ent will be provided by our Scór participan­ts under the guidance of Rachel Foley.

Admission is free and all members are welcome. Finger food will be served on the night. MEMBERSHIP is now due and must be paid before March 1st. to Registrar Frances O`Sullivan.
