Legion see off Crokes

EAST KERRY SENIOR LEAGUE DIVISION 1A

- Michael O’Mahony

Legion 1-11 Dr Crokes 2-9

DESPITE very wintery conditions, a great crowd turned out to support both teams.

Dr Crokes dominated the first half with a early goal and notched up some points leaving them going on at half-time 1-5 to 0-5 ahead. The second half Legion took off winning key ball at midfield, and some impressive defensive play Legion began to close the deficit.

The introduction of David O’Sullivan who scored a penalty and a point closed the gap to level the game on 1-7 apiece with ten minutes on the clock. Killarney Legion kicked on with points from Pádraig Lucey, Tom Moriarty and Peter McCarthy to run out winners on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-9.
