MASTERGEEHA F.C.

SENIORS: DIVISION 2A: Kilmoyley Athletic 0 8 Mastergeeha FC. Scorers Gearoid Kerins Noel Moynihan Anthony Magner, DJ O’Leary, Jer Sheehan, and Eoin Horan

U-14 SHIELD ROUND 2: Mastergeeha FC 1 0 Inter Kenmare. The breakthrough came from a set piece when our centre back Diarmuid Furlong rose higher than everybody else to header the ball in the direction of the goal toputus1up.

U12 CUP: There was cup action for 2 of our U-12 teams this weekend with third team getting a bye to the next round.

U12 JOHN MURPHY CUP: Mastergeeha F.C. A 2 - 6 Mek Galaxy F.C. A tough score line on the boys in a game where a two-goal swing with about ten minutes to go finally took the game away from us in what was a real challenge against a strong MEK side.

U12 JOHN MURPHY CUP: Mastergeeha F.C. B 1 - 5 Listowel CelticB.Itwasnottobeourday but the boys cannot be faulted for effort and they stuck at it until the final whistle. Thanks to Listowel for a very sporting game and we wish them best of luck in the remainder of the Cup.

Thanks to all parents/families for their great support at both games.

U10 CUP & SHIELD: Our shield team who defeated Killorglin U-10’s on a scoreline of 2 - 1 in Killorglin. A fantastic team performance. Adam Warren opened the scoring for us with a great long range strike in front of the goal. Derry O’ Gorman soon followed with the inside of his right boot and taking full advantage of the wind blowing in on goal, he curled in for a cracker.Scorers: Adam Warren & Derry O’Gorman Our U-10 cup team were unlucky to go down 2 goals early but battled on to go 3 - 2 up and went in 3 all at break with 2 goals from Darragh Keane and a goal from Alan O Leary. This was a cracking game of tit for tat throughout. We came out in 2nd half on top with a goal each from Darragh keane and Alan O’Leary to lead 5 3. Once again wind was a huge factor that now favoured the home side and 2 long range frees found the back of our net. 5 all with a couple of minutes left saw Killorglin get a late winner. Result was 6 - 5 to Killorglin.Scorers: Darragh Keane & Alan O’Leary
