DEATH

The death has occurred of Patricia Courtney (nee Ward), West Hampstead, London and Doonkinnan­e, Faha. Wife of the late Billy Courtney and deeply regretted by her loving family. Cremation in England and funeral arrangemen­ts will take place in Ireland later. May she rest in peace.

COVID-19

Deputy Commission­er Twomey of An Garda Síochána stated that ‘As a community at this time we need more than ever to support the most vulnerable in our society, particular­ly our elderly and isolated.’ An Garda Síochána urges families, neighbours and community groups to engage with people in line with social distancing guidelines. BALLYHAR FC

Our recent Youth fixture at home to Killarney Athletic was postponed due the Corona Virus situation.

Our seniors have five league games remaining and a reseve cup run and the club are hoping like all the nation that we can get over virus issue and return to field, team activity and community social interactio­n.

The CPR course run by the Irish Heart Foundation which was to be held on Saturday 28th March at the Marian Hall, Firies has also been postponed until a further date.
