It is only by our combined efforts that we will help to clear this virus. Please stay safe. Remember

SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIREMENTS

Social distancing is important to help slow the spread of coronavirus. It does this by minimising contact between potentially infected individuals and healthy individuals. Some of the things to do: - keep a space of 2 metres (6.5 feet) between you and other people, - reduce interactions with people outside the workplace and home, - reduce the number of people you meet every day, avoid communal sleeping areas, avoid crowded places,- work from home if possible. The quicker people comply the sooner this virus will disappear.

DAFFODIL DAY

The Irish Cancer Society has decided to cancel its Annual Daffodil Day Fundraiser Event all over Ireland due to the Corona virus this fundraising event was due to take place on next Friday March 27th. This is one of the major fundraising events for the Cancer Society and its cancellation will have very serious effect on the finances that the voluntary body deeply depends on to further their great work. But there is a way in which we can all help and that is by texting the word CANCER to 50300 to donate €4. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

SUGGESTION

Speaking with a friend over the weekend and talking in general about the Covid 19 crises and the effects it is having on our area and practically every parish throughout Kerry and Ireland.

In a lighter note we talked about some ideas to show our appreciation and in a bid to show solidarity for so many people working flat out in the front line and are doing such marvellous work in the prevention of the Covid 19 crises. An idea that we thought through was just a simple idea and this idea would add a bit of colour to our villages and towns in this sad time, the idea is for everybody to hang or display either, Club, County or Tri Colour Flags from or within their premises in a show of solidarity.

There are an amount of these front line workers passing through our towns and villages daily. It is just a simple gesture to say we care and are grateful for what everybody is doing. As stated it is just a lighthearted idea but would show we care.
