Congratulations to Fenton Daly, Spunkane and his wife Jacqui on the birth of their baby daughter Cailin Cathy in London recently, a sister for Oilibhia.

Congratulations also to Annette, nee Donnelly and her husband Michael O’Shea, Cliff Road on the birth of their baby daughter Aifric Lucey O’Shea, a sister for Olan.

CORONAVIRUS

Thank you to all in our community and beyond who continue to provide us with essential services during this Covid-19 crisis- supermarkets, chemist, post office, G.P., Meals on Wheels etc and all frontline staff everywhere - your efforts are so much appreciated.

If everyone could please adhere to Government recommendations and for those still able to get out and about, be vigilant with handwashing and social distancing and follow all other recommendations and remember to look out for the vulnerable and those living alone.

DEATH

The death has taken place of Michael (Austin) Lucey, 8 Iveragh Terrace, Cable Station, Waterville. Pre-deceased by his father Austin and his brother Ivan; brothers-in-law Tony O’Sullivan and John Browne, Michael is survived by his mother Eileen; sisters Louise, Isobel & Camilla; brothers Dermot & Desmond; niece, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends to whom we offer our sincere sympathy. Sincere sympathy to Marie Dennehy, Spunkane, her husband Eugene and family on the death of her mother a Kitty Byrne whose funeral took place in Aughrim Co. Wicklow last week. Suaimhneas siorai da hanam dilis.
