Why this is a good time to buy home heating oil...

-

JUST because the sun is shining and temperatures are rising, it doesn’t mean you can’t find value in home heating oil. With international oil prices currently fluctuating and domestic demand at its lowest as we enter the summer period, this can be an advantageous time in which to source and purchase home heating oil stocks at a saving.

This is not only the cheapest time to buy, but it can make your fuel costs more economical in the long-term. Another bonus of ordering oil now is that you avoid the winter demand when everyone wants an oil fill at the same time. There’s peace of mind knowing you can fill your tank now – at a saving – and avoid the stress of having to deal with it come the autumn time.

Household budgets are also facing increasing challenges in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. That’s why whenever an opportunity arises to save money – as in the case of home heating - you should take it. If you have the finances to do so at the moment, it may be prudent to stock up on winter fuel. It will be a cost, albeit a very important cost, out of the way while you have the resources. Buying oil in bulk during quieter periods may save you a couple of hundred euro over the course of a winter (and over extended colder periods in early autumn and spring).

It’s estimated that most consumers will buy their oil intermittently up to three or four times a year. This is going to end up costing you more, which is why you should consider talking to local oil suppliers for some advice on how to make a saving. Delivery is another bonus that comes with buying early. At quieter times it’s more likely that you will be able to arrange a delivery time that suits.

This is a good time to shop around for your oil and to find the best deal for you.
