John Deere introduces new 6M series tractor

- Advertorial

JOHN Deere recently introduced the new 6M series tractor range, a more compact tractor with new low-bonnet design.

The new range replaces the previous 6M, 6MC and 6RC Series. The main design changes in the new series focus on three areas: visibility, manoeuvrability, and payload.

Improvements to visibility are among the biggest changes in the new 6M series as it now comes with a new lower hood and newly designed panorama roof.

Both these features offer an extended view for loader work to cut back on the bending and twisting an operator has had to do to keep the load in sight. As well as making loader work easier, it also provides for a much safer work environment.

In addition, there is a new corner post display and compact CommandARM which provide fingertip control of both machine and implements while also allowing for easy monitoring of all tractor functions.

The new 6M series of tractors are also the perfect answer for working in tight spaces: even with the loader mounting frames and loader connected, the 6M short frame tractors maintain a surprisingly small turning radius of 4.35 metres, and this is combined with a short 2400mm wheelbase and reduced overall length.

In terms of payload, you are looking at a maximum payload of 4.7 tons and rear hitch lift capacity of up to 5.7 tons, so it ensures big loads, and the biggest implements are no issue for the 6090M-6140M models.

Because of their compact size, wide horsepower range, improved visibility, and manoeuvrability, the 6M tractors are seen as being a popular choice for dairy and livestock farmers.

The new 6M Series is now available from Geary’s Garage. For further information or to organise a test drive, contact Johnny Corkery on (087) 235 7262, or you can also contact them at their branch in Kilmeedy on (063) 87004
