CH Chemist wins €2,500 advertising package with The Kerryman
THE hugely popular Tralee town centre business CH Chemist definitely had luck on its side last Friday morning after its name was picked as winners of a fantastic €2,500 advertising package from us here in The Kerryman.
The ‘Support Local’ advertising competition was open to any business in Kerry that advertised in last week’s edition of the paper. The names of every such business was then placed inside a box, ready for Mayor of Kerry Cllr Jim Finucane to pick a winner from.
With Mayor Finucane kindly giving us his time last Friday morning, the draw took place, and CH Chemist was chosen as the winner and is now the proud recipient of the €2,500 worth of advertising with the paper.
Additionally, in a second draw, Chapter 23 Credit Union were also chosen to receive an advertising package worth €500 but they have since generously decided to pay this good fortune forward and have donated their prize to AA Fire Safety Group, Kerry
Speaking about the draw, The Kerryman General Manager Siobhán Murphy said: “For us, we have been very fortunate because not only have we maintained our paper sales, we have actually grown them.
“This was a thank you to all of our advertisers. We know that the last number of weeks and months have been difficult on all businesses. The reason that we did the draw is because we see how important it is to support local businesses,” she continued.
“We are very grateful for all the advertisers who maintained their business with us through the tough times. We are hoping that the prize will help a local business keep going. We are so grateful for all the support we have received, and we look forward to doing business with all of our advertisers going into the future,” she said.
