Camogie board outlines plan for return
THE Kerry Camogie County Board has laid out its plans for return to play with a suite of fixtures for underage to adult fixtures.
Possibly the best news to emerge is that Clanmaurice will get the chance to defend their Munster and All Ireland junior club titles, with the provincial championship set to get underway later this month.
The County Board have made provision for an Under 12 League, an Under 14 Championship, an Under 16 Championship, a Minor Championship and a Junior B Championship.
All championships will be played on a league basis. Domestic action resumes later this month with the Minor Championship getting underway on Sunday, July 26.

Group Rounds: Wednesdays - August 5, 19; September 2, 16
County Finals A&B: Sunday - September 27 Under-14 Championship (League Format) Group Rounds: Thursdays - July 30; August 13, 27; September 10, 24
County Finals A&B: Sunday - October 4
U16 Championship (League Format)
Group Rounds: Tuesdays - August 4, 18; September 1, 15, 29
County Finals A&B: Sunday - October 11 Minor Championship (League Format)
Group Rounds: Sundays - July 26; August 16, 30
County Final: Sunday - September 13
Junior B Championship (League Format) Group Rounds: Saturdays - August 8, 22; September 5

At a national level the Camogie Association have laid out the superstructure for the resumption of inter-county activity, but as of yet precise dates and fixtures have to be confirmed.
• The 2020 Liber ty Insurance All-Ireland Championships will take place between October – December 2020. The exact format and dates of these competitions will be finalised in the coming weeks. The competitions will begin on a round-robin basis with increased groups before progressing to the knockout stages. There will be no automatic promotion/relegation in the 2020 All-Ireland Championships.
• The 2020 All-Ireland Under 16 Championships will take place between October – December 2020. The exact format and dates of these competitions will be finalised in the
coming weeks.
• The 2020/2021 AIB All-Ireland Club Championships will proceed as normal but with a revised calendar that will run into 2021. The exact format and dates of these competitions will be finalised in the coming weeks.
• The 2020 Littlewoods Ireland Camogie Leagues which began in February have now been cancelled.
• The 2020 Tesco All-Ireland Minor Championships which began in February have now been cancelled. However, in order to facilitate a programme of matches in a regional format, Minor competitions will take place on a Provincial basis in 2020 from October to December.
• The National Competitions Management Committee will confirm competition entries for all competitions in the coming weeks.
• The Association is continuing to work through options regarding underage structures and initiatives in 2020 and will provide an update on this in the coming weeks.
