KILLORGLIN GOOD LUCK TO ALL LOCAL BUSINESSES

As local businesses reopen , best wishes to all and thank you for all the efforts you have made to keep customers safe. Please can we all support local businesses as much as we can in what is still such a difficult time. Stay local and stay safe by following all the Public Health Guidance.

KILLORGLIN FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE THANK YOU

Killorglin Family Resource Centre would like to thank all those that supported us during Covid-19. We would especially like to acknowledge the support of Eurospar, O Sullivans Bakery, South Kerry Development Partnership, FEXCO, AIB, Cara Credit Union who supported us with our Food Hampers. We would also like to thank Lina Ahern for her donation of masks and her donation of food from sale of masks.

Whilst this has been a very challenging time for all we were very much overwhelmed by the great support we got from this fantastic community and we would encourage everyone to please Shop Local.

We are now open for Summer Camps on a gradual basis. Unfortunately all meetings with clients will be by appointment only. We are obliged to keep footfall to the Centre at a minimum for the present but look forward to the day where our doors will be open fully again. Thank you to all our customers and clients for your patience at this time. Please contact us on 066-9762933 or email killorglinfamilycentre@ gmail. com.

LAUNE RANGERS GAA CLUB

RETURN TO PLAY: It has been a long 16 weeks since a ball was last kicked in our club. Thanks to all the coaches who kept their players busy with drills, and of course thanks to the parents who kept the ball in the hands of our young players while everyone was locked down at home. Most of the club’s teams have now returned to training, with competitive football just around the corner.

MEMBERSHIP: Laune Rangers membership is now open for 2020. Our subscription for this year remains unchanged - Family €70, Adult €50, OAP €20, Scór only €20. Registrars Larry Laide and Pat O’Shea will be available to take membership. Contact Larry on 086 1969250 for more information.

LOTTO: Our weekly Lotto is returning, and our first draw will coincide with the final phase of reopening on July 20th. Tickets are available to purchase now from tomorrow in the outlets that have reopened & our usual sellers. We will also be doing a special draw for all those who had continued paying standing orders throughout the last three months – a much needed revenue stream in this period

ICE CREAM CHALLENGE: The final piece of news is not Covid related. As you may have seen on our social media, Laune Rangers launched a Charity Fundraiser a couple of weeks ago – the #IceCreamChallenge. We encourage all of our players, parents, supporters etc to take on the challenge, posting it on Social Media and nominate three friends to do the same. The wider the net we cast, the more fruitful the return! Of course, important aspect to the Ice Cream Challenge is the donation to Charity. We have three very deserving charities in place:

Down Syndrome Ireland, Irish Pilgrimage Trust, St Francis Special School, Beaufort

Please help us make the most of our challenge, and take part. Eat – post – donate – nominate!!! https:// www.gofundme.com/f/ice-creamchallenge
