Glenda Taylor, Riverstown, will appear on an hour long documentar­y, alongside five other collectors, on Tuesday, July 26, at 9.30 p. m. on RTÉ1. Glenda’s impressive 600 Barbie doll collection will be featured along with a quick glimpse into her life as a collector.

There will be a Cemetery Mass held in Ballyrush graveyard on the Bank Holiday Monday, August 1, at midday

TRADITIONA­L FESTIVAL

The James Morrison Traditiona­l Music Festival will run from Friday, July 29, to Sunday, August 1.

Now in its 24th year, this Festival commemorat­es the musical genius of Sligo’s James Morrison and his contempora­ries.

On Friday, July 29, the official opening will be performed by Bart Gavin, in Riverstown Community Hall at 8 p. m., followed by the James Morrison Commemorat­ive Concert.

On Saturday, July 30, the Gordon D’Arcy art workshop will be held in the Morrison Teach Ceoil from 11 a. m. to 12.30 p. m.

At 1 p. m. The John Callaghan Memorial Seán Nós Dancing Competitio­n takes place in Riverstown Community Hall.

At 6 p. m. there will be a musical tribute at the James Morrison Memorial in Drumfin followed by commemorat­ive address given by John Daly at 8 p. m. in the Morrison Teach Ceoil.

Singing Session led by Pók Ó Ceannabhái­n in John Mac’s Pub at 7.30 p. m.

Saturdays events will finish with a ceili on the Diamond, at 10 p. m. with music by Marshy Ridge céilí Band.

On Sunday, August 1, Aifreann na Féile will take place in Riverstown at 12.30 p. m.

There will be an afternoon céilí on the Diamond from 3 p. m. to 5 p. m. featuring the Turfman from Shanboley, All- Ireland Set Dancers from Kerry and local Seán Nós Dancers.

At 7 p. m. there will be a symposium in the Morrison Teach Ceoil honouring the life and times
