STRANDHILL’S X FACTOR

STRANDHILL AND ROSSES POINT ARE THE LOCATIONS BUYERS ARE THRONGING TO, WRITES PAUL KEENAN

-

FROM talking to estate agencies throughout Sligo, one thing seems very clear – the most popular destinations to buy property in Sligo are Strandhill and Rosses Point.

It’s not a major surprise really, when you consider what the villages have to offer.

Both are coastal villages with good communities, businesses and schools, not to mention in close proximity to Sligo town.

Both have some luxurious properties currently on the market.

One of the most incredible houses currently for sale in Strandhill is a five- bedroom detached house located in Tully for € 750,000.

The spectacular contemporary residence was recently redesigned and upgraded to an impressive family home with truly breath- taking views of Sligo Bay and beyond.

Situated only a short walk from all of the ever popular attractions and amenities that Strandhill has to offer, and only a 10 minute drive from Sligo town centre, the property is in a near- perfect location.

The house is fully modernised throughout, with all fitted wardrobes, carpets, curtains, blinds, light fittings and appliances included; as well as a monitored alarm setting for security. The exterior is just as amazing; sizeable landscaped gardens looking out onto a beautiful scenic view.

There’s also an extensive patio for occupants to sit out and relax. If you’ve got € 750,000

to spare, you could ld probablyb bl spend d i it i in a l lot worse ways than buying this house.

Ken Draper, the marketing director for Sherry Fitzgerald Draper says that the coastal areas of Sligo are the most popular locations to buy property in Sligo at the moment.

He said: “There is recurring demand for properties around Strandhill and the Strandhill Road.

“The prices in Strandhill are bouncing back stronger than anywhere else in Sligo.

“There is vibrancy in the community around the coastal village. Rosses Point also remains reliable and is still doing well.”

David Reynolds of David Reynolds Auctioneers said: “The best place to buy in Sligo really depends on the market you are searching in and the money you have available to you.

“Lot’s of people want to purchase property in Strandhill, but it’s out of reach for many.

“It’s location, location, location, and due to its ideal placing between the coast and the town, Strandhill is among the most popular places to buy property in Sligo.”

The market for housing in locations such as Strandhill and Rosses Point is undoubtedly competitive.
