Our Ladies Challenge Cup Team are competing in the AIG Cups and Shields All- Ireland Finals in Dundalk on Thursday 22nd at 1: 15 p. m.. They are playing Headford G. C. in the quarter final and we wish them all every success and hopefully they will follow in the footsteps of the Senior cup team.

We are all extremely thrilled with the wonderful win of the Co Sligo Men’s Senior Cup Golf Team in the AIG All- Ireland finals in Carton House G. C. on Saturday 17th. They beat last years winners, The Castle, in a nail- biting finish, on Saturday to bring the prestigious trophy West of the Shannon. The Ladies are now attempting to make it two All- Irelands for the club this year.

The Ladies Team is captained by Carmel Hatt and vice- Captain Edel McDermott and the talented panel includes Jean Barr, Rosie Mullan, Emma Flanagan, Patricia Harte, Kate Hegarty, Patsy McElhone, Maire Dufficey, Ann Sheridan, Ann Horkan and Ann Harrison. Members of the panel are showing great form with Emma Flanagan part of the winning pair in the club fourball, Rosie Mullan winner of the Summer Cup and Ann Sheridan winner of the Challenge Cup 2016. The Flanagan house already has brought home one All- Ireland trophy this year so we want Emma to do the same.

We encourage the Ladies from Co Sligo to turn out to support the team who have given huge commitment and dedication to represent their club and Connacht in the All- Ireland finals.
