CLOTHES RECYCLING

Riverstown, Ballysumag­han and Kilmactran­ny Church of Ireland Parish Churches will be holding a clothes recycling fundraiser on Saturday, September 24, from 3 p. m. to 8 p. m. in the Cooper Memorial Hall, Riverstown in aid of parish funds. All donations of clothes, shoes, belts, hand- bags, towels, duvet covers, sheets, curtains, phones and lap- tops would be greatly appreciate­d. HARVEST SERVICE

Taunagh Church of Ireland will be holding its annual Harvest Thanksgivi­ng service on Friday, September 30, at 8 p. m. Service will be conducted by Bishop Farran. Everyone is welcome to attend. Service will be followed by refreshmen­ts in the Cooper Memorial Hall.

PARK RAFFLE

Riverstown Community Park is a beautiful amenity adjacent to the village for the use of the whole community. The committee are holding a Fund Raising Raffle and Cake Sale in Riverstown Hall on Saturday, October 1, at 9 p. m. Your support would be appreciate­d. Donations of cakes gratefully accepted. Funds raised will go towards the maintenanc­e and Insurance of the park.

Raffle Cards are available from members of Shamrock Gaels, Arrow Harps, Riverstown Community Games and Riverstown Show Committee. € 2 per line. The committee would ask all those using the park to please respect it especially Dog Owners who must have their dogs on a lead at all times in the park and pick up after their dogs. Thank You.

IRISH DANCING

Irish dancing classes will continue in Riverstown Community Hall on Monday evenings from 5.30 p. m. New dancers always welcome.

DRAMA IN CASTLE DARGAN

Castle Ladies Golf Club will host a play on Sunday, October 2, at 8 p. m. at Castle Dargan Hotel. The comedy ‘ Danger Money’ by John McManus is performed by renowned Actor, Comedian and Playwright Séamus O’Rourke. Admission is a very reasonable € 10. SECOND DEFIBRILLA­TOR

The Defibrilla­tor Committee are pleased to inform you that out of the funds raised earlier this year a second defibrilla­tor has recently been placed on the wall of the club house in the Community Park, Riverstown. Defibrilla­tor training is ongoing and to date 17 people have completed the course.
