HARVEST THANKSGIVING

The Harvest Thanksgiving Service will be held in the Church of Ireland, Ballymote on Friday, September 30, at 8 p. m. Everyone Welcome.

ART EXHIBITION

An Art Exhibition with paintings by Cassie Finn will be held in Ballymote Community Library, launch evening on Friday, September 23, from 3 p. m. to 5 p. m.

TEXT ALERT

Ballymote Community text alert will launch our new Text Alert House Window Stickers on Monday, September 26, at 8.30 p. m. in the Pastoral Centre. Stickers available to all registered members – please call in and collect one. Thanks to the Community General Grant Scheme 2016 ( Sligo County Council) for facilitating the stickers.

If you would like to join the Ballymote Text Alert Group – Registration of new members also on the same night. The text alert system has proved very successful for the Ballymote community in its first year.

Please report suspicious activity and incidents in the local area to Ballymote Garda station 071 9189500 or 071 9183333 and they will send out relevant text alerts to all registered members.

SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of Tom Golden, Dublin and formerly Carrigans Lower; Vincent Brehony, Lucan and formerly of Wolfe Tone Street whose deaths occurred recently.

FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE

Evening classes in the use of iPads/ tablets will commence at Ballymote Family Resource Centre on Wednesday evenings between 7 p. m. to 9.30 p. m. starting in early October. This is a QQI Level three course which will run over 10 weeks. Tuition is free of charge to those who qualify; the only cost will be a module admin. fee of € 20. I- Pads will be provided. Youth Speech and Drama classes continue on Thursday afternoons at Ballymote Family Resource Centre.
