ALICE IN WONDERLAND

The mastermind behind the tropical house inspired version of Tracy Chapman’s ‘ Fast Car’ and new single Perfect Strangers is coming to Sixth, Sligo on Wednesday the 28th of September. MAMÓ

This is the story of Geraldine Plunkett Dillon written and performed by Isolde ÓBrolcháin Carmody. This unique play will be screened on film, followed by a live Q& A with the writer/ actor Isolde ÓBrolcháin Carmody, in The Glens Centre, Manorhamil­ton on Friday 23rd September at 8: 30pm. This one- woman show centres around the events of Easter 1916. It brings a woman’s voice to the story of Ireland before and after the Rising, from stories of childhood in the 1890s to a young married woman struggling to keep her family safe and well in an atmosphere of revolution and retributio­n. FR. JAMES AND FRIENDS

The Garth Brooks Story featuring Trevor Smith & his ‘ Friends In Low Places’ are performing in the Hawk’s Well, Saturday the 15th of October at 8pm. “For those who don’t feel like they’re in the right life, online is a place to be yourself.” This Thursday the 22nd of September in the Hawk’s Well, Stacey Gregg will perform a story of first love through the eyes of a gender- curious teen.
