St Angela’s to host Open Day
St. Angela’s College is opening its doors to prospective students, parents and guidance counsellors this week.
On Thursday ( 20th October) they’re hosting an Open Day to showcase their range of CAO undergraduate programmes with a focus firmly on their ‘ unique selling point’ ( USP) as providers of the only university- level education in the region.
As a college of NUI Galway, St. Angela’s College programmes are accredited by the University. The Academic Departments of Nursing, Health Sciences and Disability Studies, Education and Home Economics offer programmes in Nutrition, Food and Business Management, Textiles, Fashion and Design with Business Management, Nursing Degrees ( General or Intellectual Disability), Home Economics Teacher Education ( which includes a choice of a second subject choices: Biology, Religious Education, Irish or Economics).
‘ Open Day is a wonderful opportunity to visit the College and meet with students and staff as well as take a tour of the campus and see our state- ofthe- art facilities’ said President of St. Angela’s College, Dr Anne Taheny. “As Sligo continues to thrive as a student destination, now is the ideal time to consider a University qualification with our range of programmes on offer for 2017,” she said.
The College also offers a Diploma in Foundation Studies programme for school leavers and mature students who wish to apply for direct entry to full- time degree courses at St. Angela’s College or NUI Galway.
