MUSIC LESSONS

The following classes are available in the Morrison Teach Cheoil. Flute, Tin Whistle and Fiddle lessons with Michael Hurley will take place on Friday evenings beginning at 6.30 p. m. Concertina classes with Orlaith McKenna will take place on Saturdays from two to 3 p. m. Keyboard and Piano lessons continue on Tuesday evenings with Maureen O’Dowd at 6.30 p. m. CHILDCARE VACANCY

Little Buddies community creche, Riverstown is looking for a part- time, experience­d childcare/ Early Years Assistant to assist with the day to day running of the variety of rooms. Suitably qualified candidates will hold a minimum level five qualificat­ion, FETAC level six qualificat­ions or higher is desirable. Candidate must have knowledge of Aistear and Siolta.

Must be flexible and willing to work irregular hours. Have a positive working relationsh­ip with parents, children and staff. Adhere to all policies and procedures. Be a team player. Two years experience in a childcare centre is desirable. Salary is based on qualificat­ions, experience and abilities.

Castle Dargan Ladies golf club would like to thank all who attended the play ‘ Danger Money’. Séamus O’Rourke gave a truly wonderful performanc­e on Sunday night last and had the audience in tears of laughter.

IRISH DANCING

Irish dancing classes will continue in Riverstown Community Hall on Monday evenings from 5.30 p. m. New dancers always welcome.

SCARE IN THE PARK

Sligo Folk Park in Riverstown will be hosting the popular ‘ Scare in the Park’ Halloween Event on, Friday, 28 and Sunday, October 30, from 6 p. m. to 8 p. m. Admission for Children is € 5 and Adults are free. Children must be accompanie­d by an adult.

We invite all to come in Fancy Dress and we will have Trick or Treat, Arts and Crafts, Games and prizes, music and dance, Pumpkin Carving and the must see Haunted Millview House. Spread all over the park there will be plenty of scares and surprises for all.
