SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to Mary Coleman, Meenashamm­er, Culleens on the death of her husband Patrick, sympathy also to his daughters Margaret, Patricia, Bernadette and Madeline, sons James, PJ and Eugene, grandchild­ren, great- grandchild­ren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Removal took place from McGowan’s funeral home on Monday to the Church of the Holy Family, Kilglass. Burial took place after 11 a. m. to St Patrick’s Cemetery Kilglass. May he rest in peace.

Sympathy is also extended to the brother Jimmy, sisters Lillie and Josephine Matthews, Owenbeg on the death of their brother Robbie Matthews, Ballyogan, Culleens. Sympathy also to the cousins, relatives and friends. Removal took place from McGowan’s funeral home Ballina on Sunday evening to the Church of the Holy Family, Kilglass. Burial took place in St Patrick’s Cemetery after 11 a. m. mass in Kilglass Church. May he rest in peace.

WEDDINGS BELLS

Congratula­tions to Amanda Colleary daughter of Pádraig and Anne of Lacken, Enniscrone on her Marriage on Saturday, September 24, to Paul Egan son of Michael and Eileen Egan, Culleens. The Wedding Ceremony took place in the Church of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven Enniscrone, and the reception was held in the Ocean Sands Hotel Enniscrone. We wish the young couple, a long and happy life together.

TIDY TOWNS

as a resident of Enniscrone I would like to publicly congratula­te the Tidy Towns Committee. Their work has once again gained an excellent result on the Tidy Towns Competitio­n. Most importantl­y their work benefits us all as we admire the beautiful flower displays and our tidy litter- free streets. Thank you.

SURF AND TURF 2016

The annual Surf and Turf run is back again for 2016 on Saturday, October 29, ( bank holiday weekend). This event, over five kilometres, is fast becoming a staple of the autumnal calendar across the west Sligo and north Mayo areas and we look forward to another fantastic day again this year filled with obstacles, bog and plenty of fun. More details will follow in the coming weeks, but for now get training.

BLOTTO

There was no winner of the € 1,700 jackpot this week. Numbers drawn were 8, 23 and 34. € 25 winners were: Leah Duffy, Catriona Mahony, Angela Forde and Trevor Kilgannon. Jackpot for the next draw will be € 1,900 and will be held in the Pilot Bar Enniscrone on Saturday, October 8.
