2 LIP SYNC BATTLE A fundraiser in aid of breast cancer research is happening this Friday the 14th Oct at 9.00pm in the Riverside hotel. The Lip sync battle is followed by 80’ s disco, music by Scruffy Duffy with a Fancy dress night out. Tickets cost € 10 and you can get them in the copy shop Tesco car park or on the door on the night. Spot prize’s on the night for best lip sync and best dressed.

3 5TH ON TEELING Road Angel plays live this Friday the 14th of October from 10.00pm in the front bar on Teeling Sligo. A rock band from Sligo they promise a night great night of Rock n Roll and classics from bands such as Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden, Free, AC/ DC, Alice in Chains and their very own material. Sligo Farmers Market boasts a wide selection of fresh locally produced produce. The market, located in the carpark of Sligo Institiute of Technology in County Sligo, has producers on hand to discuss any questions about their produce. There are homemade jams, chutneys and tapenades along with wide variety of organic yogurts, smoothies, vegetarian meals, fair trade coffees and teas. Sligo Farmers Market has become a very sociable place where people come to shop, meet their friends, sample some of the tasty treats and soak up the atmosphere. The market is held every Saturday from 10am- 2pm.
