A frightful feast of horrors this Halloween time

With Halloween just around the corner there are a number of spectacula­rly spooky events that will get you through the weekend. Sligo Ghost Tours Local company, Eco Travel Ltd, will operate a minibus tour around Sligo’s scariest locations. The tours have been extensivel­y researched by qualified Archaeolog­ist and concentrat­e on historical fact. The guides also have an extensive knowledge of local history and a genuine passion for all things ‘ spooky’. Banada Banshee Bash Banada Banshee Bash is returning to the scaring grounds of Banada Abbey from 28th to 31st of Oct. The haunted house contains 10 rooms that will be decorated from a murder scene to a creepy clinic and the ‘ frightenin­g forest walk’ that caters to the younger scare fans.

It begins each evening at 7pm and will finish up at 10.00pm with tickets ranging between € 5 and € 10. For more info see Facebook at ‘ Banada Banshee Bash’. Zombie Run 5K Sligo Rowing Club present the Zombie Run this Sunday 30th Oct at 7pm in Doorly Park. If you don’t want to try out the run they also need zombies. Come along and enjoy a fun filled evening with lots of spooky fun. Halloween All Nighter Freakout Session Zero Gravity Skatepark will be kicking off the Halloween period on the Sunday evening at 8: 00 pm. This event is fancy dress. Loads of horror movies and the Garavogue Banshee may even drop by the sleepy old building. Admission fee: € 20 Bring along sleeping bags and food. Event suits ages groups 12 + Scare in the Park Pumpkin carving, games, arts and crafts and a haunted house are among the activities at “Scare in the Park” in Sligo Folk Park, Riverstown, on October 28th and 30th, 6pm- 8pm.
