Sweeney’s Opticians

-

AT SWEENEY’S you are guaranteed professional care and attention when it comes to all your optical needs. For parents, their children’s sight is of utmost importance.

Most children have excellent sight and do not need to wear glasses. Others may not have been picked up at an early age and this can cause permanently reduced vision. If parents have any worries in relation to their child’s sight, or if there is a history of squint or lazy eye in the family, we are always available to give whatever treatment and assistance needed.

There are so many conditions that can affect your eye sight. For both adults and children, a visit to your optician on a regular basis is good practice. One question regularly asked is in relation to specks or black spots that float around in your field of vision. They are known as “Floaters” and in the majority of cases are harmless and do not require treatment, however a sudden increase in floaters, accompanied by light flashes could be the onset of something more serious.

If you have any concerns in relation to your sight, please come along and we will put your mind at ease. You are entitled to a FREE eye examination every two years or every year if you have a change in your vision under the medical card scheme and employers PRSI scheme.

Martha Warde is the resident Optometrist in Sweeney’s Opticians and you can read all Martha’s tips for the perfect eye care every week in The Sligo Champion.

She is top in her profession and a visit to Sweeney’s is a must. We ensure peace of mind that your eye health is in excellent care.
