What a Super Trooper cast of singers and dancers at the recent Coláiste Muire musical ‘ Thank you for the Music’ It was an outstandin­g performanc­e by the students and staff and one they can be very proud of. It was great to see so many past pupils from Ballinacar­row NS taking part.

WELL DONE

Congratula­tions to the Owenmore Gaels under- 16 team and management who overcame Coolera/ Strandhill on the third attempt on a scoreline of 0- 9 pts to 0- 6 to be crowned the 2016 ‘ B’ Champions.

PARKING AT ROUNDABOUT

It has again been observed that people are continuing to park on the main road at the roundabout to collect and drop off children at school. This is a dangerous practice and a serious risk to children and other motorists. People are requested to use the dedicated walled off parking area in front of school to park for dropping/ collecting children.

The local Drumcliffe- Rosses Point GAA Club is seeking participan­ts who are interested in representi­ng the club in the upcoming Sligo Scór na nÓg ( under- 17) finals on November 26. Italian Fashion by Chiara Poli of the Italian Wardrobe ( Market Street, Sligo) takes place in Rathcormac Hall on Friday, November 4, starting at 8 p. m. The event, organised by the local Cos Cos Group, will feature top Italian brands and punctuated with lively entertainm­ent with music, song, story and dance. TABLE QUIZ

The North Sligo Athletics Club are holding a table quiz in McLeans pub on Friday, November 4, starting at 9.30 p. m. Entry costs € 20 for a table of four. There will be some great spot prizes up for grabs also. All support would be greatly appreciate­d.

XMAS TREE FESTIVAL

A Christmas Tree and Craft Festival will be taking place in Drumcliffe Church and grounds between December 8 and 11. The event will close with a community carol service.
