Halloween is here and local musicians set for themed gig
HALLOWEEN is here this weekend with pumpkin decorations, freaky costumes and the odd ghost popping up around the county.
There are countless events taking place throughout Sligo and a special concert is being held in Cloonacool to mark the occasion.
Moy River B& B in Cloonacool is set to host another House Concert but this one has a differ- ence.
This Friday the 28th of October. the concert known as ‘ Homegrown’ will feature up- and- coming home- grown talent.
The concert will also have a Halloween theme to it and will include supper.
It’s a great way to celebrate Halloween while also enjoying the great performances.
The participating artists in- clude musicians and singers from the local area. Performing on the night will be singer Karen McKim, musician and guitar maker Colin Marren as well as Fleadh Cheoil winner, Clíodhna Henry. The trio of performers are all young, talented musicians and with growing reputations. The catering for the event has a local connection: Kilverneen Catering, a new catering business established by Eileen Kirrane and her sister, Rose. All in all, this promises to be a special evening of food and music. Not to be missed. For bookings or more information contact Moy River B& B on 087 2512030. Spaces are limited so it’s important to book early. Happy Halloween!
