2 ALICE IN WONDERLAND
Marking the end of this year, the 25th Anniversary of The Blue Raincoat Theatre Company will perform Lewis Carroll’s ‘ Alice in Wonderland’ in the Factory performance space from this Wednesday the 26th of October until Saturday the 5th of November. 3 SEAMIE O’DOWD
A great opportunity to explore arrangement with renowned multi- instrumentalist Seamie O’Dowd happening this Saturday the 29th of October from 11.00am to 1.00pm in the Hawk’s Well Theatre. This workshop will cover some approaches to arrangement & harmony for mixed melody instruments in a variety of genres. Tickets are € 15.
4 A FEAST OF BONES
‘ A Feast of Bones’ from Theatre Lovett visits the Hawk’s Well Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th of October. This production is suitable for children aged 9+ and is also suitable for adults. Sligo Folk Park in Riverstown will be hosting the popular “Scare in the Park” Halloween Event on Friday the 28th Oct and Sunday 30th Oct. 6 SPOOKY WORKSHOPS
Come celebrate Halloween with the Glens Centre with a variety of workshops on Sunday 30th and Monday the 31st of October. On the Sunday between 2.00pm-5.00pm there will be spooky arts and crafts for children. You can create soundtrack to Halloween with sound artist John Daly and there is even pumpkin carving for the adults. Admission is free to both events. Set almost fifty years prior to the first film, in 1967 in Los Angeles, a widowed mother and family fake séance as part of a scam for a living. However, when the family discovers a Ouija gameboard, young Doris attempts to contact her deceased father, but through the game’s seeing eye, sees a dark figure and is suddenly possessed by a malevolent spirit.

The screening of the Making of a Medium will take place in the Model cinema at 8.30pm this Friday the 28th of October. The piece is a feature length documentary exploring Spiritualism. This Sunday the 30th of October at the Still Bar in Dromore West the Bank Holiday weekend kick starts Halloween in style. Wavelength dance band will be kicking things off at 7pm with Rock n’Roll, Country, Traditional, Fifites music right through to current chart hits! They will be followed by the house DJ’s.
10 SUMMER OF ‘ 63
Brian Leyden will read from his new novel Summer of ’ 63 this Thursday the 27th of October in Liber Book Shop. Summer of ’ 63 is a fast- paced and beautifully realised novel that brilliantly evokes Ireland at the time of President John F. Kennedy’s visit. The Book is priced at € 15 and the event is free.
