Also there was Seamus Farrell of the highly successful SF Engineering LTD, based in Grange and also with a plant in Cambridge.
Seamus is a strong advocate of promoting the Northwest to recent engineering graduates. Seamus was also a guest speaker on the night.
There was also the chance for people to network with guests from Sligo.
Among the group who travelled to the UK for the networking evening were CEO of Sligo County Council Ciaran Hayes, Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council, Hubert Keaney, Mayor of Sligo Municipal District Cllr Marie Casserly, Sligo Chamber President, Des Faul and Cllr Dara Mulvey.
The Chamber President, Des Faul and Sligo Chamber Skillnet Network Manager Mary Harty represented the Chamber.
IT Sligo was represented by Bernadette Donohoe and Cliona Brady, along with Michael Roul- ston of the Architectural Programme at IT Sligo.
They conceived and wrote the brief for Yeats 2015 International Architectural Completion and a selection of the entries were showcased at the event.
There was 120 people in attendance, who listened to a series of presentations from David McGowan of Quirky Glamping Village and Seamus Farrell of SF Engineering Ltd, a highly successful company based in Grange, Co. Sligo and also with a plant in Cambridge England.
The Sligo Business Network is an informal and voluntary group headed up by former Ballymote native, Andy Rogers.
Its aim is to promote business opportunities through networking to those with an affiliation to County Sligo.
Mary Harty of Sligo Chamber, said it was a wonderful evening to promote Sligo business and also hear from Sligo people who have made London their home.
“We are very grateful to The Bloomsbury for generously hosting us at their lovely hotel,” she added. The annual event is becoming increasingly popular among Sligo people based in London.
