Croatia the next stop for Teresa

FRESH from her most recent exploits in Lisbon, Sligo’s very own Teresa Flaherty ( left) is already preparing for her next charity walk.

Teresa has taken part in dozens of walks across the world, including far flung places such as Cuba all in aid of charity.

Her next walk will take her to Croatia and she will shortly be getting her fundraising campaign up and running.

Teresa said: “I’d like to thank all of the people in Sligo for helping me with my fundraising in aid of Cystic Fibrosis.

“Local people and businesses have been fantastic to me ever since I started these walks.”

Teresa is well known around Sligo for her trips across the world to take part in some gruelling walks, all for charity.

Over the years she has raised thousands and thousands for charity, and everytime she arrives home from one walk, she immediately starts looking into where she will be travelling to for her next charity walk a year in advance. THE Brother Walfrid Celtic Supporters Club Sligo will be holding their EGM on Monday, November 14th at 9pm in the Riverside Hotel. THE AGM of Sligo Athletic Club will take place in the Great Southern Hotel Sligo on 8th December at 8pm.

All members are welcome to attend. SLIGO Rovers’ Ed McGinty has been called into the Ireland Under 18 squad for friendlies against Holland and Germany in Spain onFriday and Sunday.
