THE Senior Cup team of Maeve Rooney ( 5), Niamh Cronin ( 7) & Jenny Demmel ( 19) were easy winners recording 58 Gross Points ( 2 players to count). THE team will definitely be contenders for the All Ireland title in late April 2017. IN the Junior Cup, Ella Rose Feeney ( 28) won best individual gross with 18 points ( 42 net points) and 11 year old Sophie Reynolds ( 29) representi­ng Realt na Mara N. SATURDAY 15 Hole Club Stableford SATURDAY’S saw the return of the 15 hole competitio­ns for the Winter period and the weather was changeable throughout the day. CYRIL O’Hara took first place with a score of 33 points for his 15 holes. Cyril scored a total of seven pars over the course of his round with three on the front nine and the remaining four on the back six to ensure he took victory with 33 points. SECOND place was taken by Noel Dykes, also with a score of 33 points. NOEL put together a round consisting of 12 pars with seven on the front nine and the remaining five on the back nine to take second place with 33 points. THIRD place was taken by David Lindsay with a score of 31 points. He was in Medhina when the European Ryder Cup Team came from near defeat to create the miracle that was Medhina. Through contacts a flag was signed by all the European team that defeated the United States Rydet cup team in Medinah. Last Sunday 6th Nov his sister Eithna presented the flag to Tubbercurr­y golf club in memory of Martin. THE club appreciate very much this gesture by the Cathill family to present the flag to the club in memory of Martin
