5K WALK

Killenummery Women’s group will hold their now annual 5k walk on Sunday, November 20. All proceeds will be given to friends of Sligo General Hospital and Cancer Care West to support the Radiotherapy bus which runs from Sligo to Galway University Hospital.

The bus is a luxury coach with all facilities for patients comfort, it runs daily and is free of charge to patients. It is essential for the comfort and peace of mind of people receiving radiotherapy treatment in Galway. The Radiotherapy bus is a voluntary service funded by friends of Sligo General Hospital and Cancer Care West, This service allows family members to accompany the patient on the journey and offers the opportunity for continued support and peace of mind in what can be a difficult time in one’s life.
