The Club is running its annual Christmas Table Quiz in Connolly’s Pub on 23rd December. All support is much appreciate­d for what is always a great night.

ST FARNAN’S

EVERYONE is invited to celebrate with us at our End of Year Social in The Flying Horse on Saturday, Dec 3rd at 9pm. Medals will be presented to The Benson Cup winning team and runner up medals to the minor team.

Other awards will also be presented. Special guest on the night is Ross Donovan. A buffet will be served. Raffle on the night. Please support.

Underage coaches are asked to attend a workshop in Skreen Community Centre on Tuesday, Nov 29th at 7 30pm. Congratula­tions to St. Farnan’s Instrument­al Music Group which won the Sligo final of Scór na nÓg on Saturday in Ballintogh­er.

The members of the group are Ciara Mc Gee, Lorna Mc Guinness, Claire and Edel Dunne.

They will represent Sligo in the Connaught final.

Congratula­tions to The Windmill Players on a fantastic run with their play “It runs in the family “in Dromore West at the weekend.

The play will be staged in The Hawkswell Theatre on January 12/ 13 th. Well done to Karl Hannon who won € 115 in the 50/ 50 draw.

The next draw will be held on Sunday, Dec 4th. Please continue to support this vital fundraiser for the club.

CONGRATULA­TIONS to our Figure Dancing Team and Drama Group both winners of Scor na nOg County Titles in Ballintogh­er on Saturday evening last.

Included were Aoife Hayes, Dylan Cummins, Edward McDonagh, Emma Gannon, Loretta Haran, Ruairi Carroll, Tristan Watters, Anna Siberry, Pearse Lenehan, Nicole Lenehan, Shane Parkes, Keisha McLaughlin, Olli White, Enya Kilfeather, Daragh Hennigan, Amy Hyndman. Well done also to Aoife Hayes in the Recitation Competitio­n, Aine McSharry in Solo Singing and to the Music Group of Caoimhe Gilroy, Loretta Haran, Shona Murtagh, Diarmuid and Aveen Dunleavy on brilliant performanc­es.

The Club Christmas Market takes place this Sunday Dec 4th from 12.00pm to 6.00pm with loads of entertainm­ent for all the family.

A great night was had by all in the Hill Hotel Gurteen last Saturday night, Bunninadde­n Community Park Committee would like to thank the Strictly Come Dancing Group also everyone for coming along and supporting such a great cause , theDuchenn­e Muscular Dystrophy Research Project.

On the night a total of € 2,045 was collected this was an outstandin­g amount. ENNISCRONE/ KILGLASS

WITH the playing season now concluded, attention turns to off the field activities. Our Annual General Meeting will take place in January, while our Dinner Dance is pencilled in for early February. Before all that, however, is our annual Married vs Singles match on December 27th where all proceeds raised will go towards Diabetes Ireland.

It promises to be another entertaini­ng encounter and a great day of fun! Keep an eye out for further details in the coming weeks.

The indoor astro turf complex at Quigabar is really taking shape with the block work now underway.

There has been major progress in recent weeks and we thank those working on the project for their efforts to date. Follow our Facebook page and website for updates.

It is hoped the developmen­t will be finished early in the New Year.

An underage coaching workshop, aimed at coaches from the U- 6 to U- 12 age group and any aspiring coaches will take place on November 29th from 7.30pm to 9pm in Dromard.

DRUMCLIFFE/ ROSSES POINT

WE congratula­te our former club player Brian McAteer ( Rahaberna) who recently captained the Dunedin Connollys GAA club in Edinburgh to the All- Britain football Championsh­ip title.

We wish Brian and his team- mates well in their All- Ireland junior club championsh­ip quarter- final against the Leinster champions Rosenallis ( Laois) this Saturday Dec 3rd.

Our Club AGM will take place in the Radisson Hotel in Ballincar on Sunday, December 11th. Confirmati­on of the start time will appear on our Social Media pages this week. UNDERAGE coaching in the club on Saturday mornings at 11 am, all welcome. Bingo on Thursday night at 9 pm in Collooney Hall , the jackpot continues to grow and is now € 7,150 in 48 numbers, it could be a Very Happy Christmas , please come early. Handball foundation coaching course took place in Collooney last Sunday under the expert guidance of Darragh Ruane and was well attended and enjoyed by coaches from all the clubs. THE St Johns club AGM was held in The Sligo Park Hotel on Sunday 27th. The outgoing chairman Ray Henry welcomed the sizeable gathering, especially the new members, to the meeting. Reports on the year’s activities were presented by Runai Sarah Mc Namara and this was followed by Treasurer Seamus Flanagan’s report and the reports from the various team managers, the Pitch, Finance and Lotto Committees. The election of club officers for the coming year then took place. The new Chairman is Offaly native Seamus Casey who has been very active with Bord na nOG, Sarah Mc Namara continues as Secretary and Niamh Walsh is once again assistant secretary. Seamus Flanagan is treasurer and Liam Cashell is his assistant. The club Presidents are Gene Flynn and Paddy Galvin while Frs Jim Murray, Dominic Gillooly, Stephen Walsh and Pat Lombard are the club patrons. John Leyden and Charlie Jordan continue as Co Board Reps while Micheal O’Bairead is An tOifeagach Gaeilge aris. The PRO is Tommy Mc Manus with Peter Scully as assistant. C Jordan is the Coaching Officer and Gerard Egan is the Substance Abuse Officer while T Mc Manus will act as Health and Welfare Officer and G. Egan will be Children’s Officer. Fergal Henry continues as Club Registrar as does Niall Gordon in the post of Club Developmen­t Officer and Colm Nevin as Insurance Officer.

The Committees for Pitch, Finance, Social and IT will be finalised at the next club meeting which will be held on Dec 14th. The lotto draw on Nov 26th was held in Harrys Bar, High St. THE numbers drawn were 8, 12, 24, 25 and there was no winner of the 10,000 Euro Jackpot prize.
