STEVE STUART MOTOR RUN

The Stuart family, Rusheen would like to thank everyone who supported the Steve Stuart Memorial Motor Run last April. On Steve’s 10th Anniversar­y a total of € 3,000 was donated to SHOUT and Sligo Cancer Support Centre.

TABLE QUIZ THANK YOU

Taunagh NS Parent Associatio­n held a fantastic family table quiz on Saturday, November 19. The quiz raised € 320 in total. Many thanks to everyone who supported the event. It really was a group effort involving many of the parents both in advance of and on the evening itself.

From outside the Parent Associatio­n, thank you to Darren Carr for helping to set the questions, Hilda Shaw for providing hot drinks on the evening and the parish for the use of the hall. Without doubt, the quiz was a great success and a very enjoyable evening for all.

SHAMROCK GAELS

There was no winner of the lottery at the weekend. The numbers drawn were 5, 7, 11 and 13. There was one match- three winner, Joe Gannon. while Camilla Jinks won the house draw. The jackpot now stands at € 1,600 with the next draw in Hartes, Riverstown on Saturday, December 3, tickets from usual outlets, if you are not in, you can’t win.

CAROL SERVICE

Riverstown community members are invited to join Brookeboro­ugh Community for a Carol Service in Colebrooke church on Friday, December 2, at 8 p. m. Followed by supper in parish hall. Bus will travel leaving Riverstown at 5.30 p. m. for anyone interested in attending.

STARS IN THEIR EYES

Arrow Harps present Stars in their Eyes on January 1 in the Corner House, Riverstown from 9 p. m. All local acts, come out and support what will be a great night over the Christmas.
