PANCAKES AT HENRYS

Henry’s Bar and Restaurant, Cashelgarr­on, will be flipping pancakes for a good cause next Tuesday, February 28, from midday to 9 p. m. Please do call in on Shrove Tuesday for your delicious pancake with all proceeds going to North West Simon Community, the local homeless charity in Sligo. This is the third year Henry’s have supported this pancake day for a good cause.

KIDS GAELIC

Saturday morning Gaelic football and hurling coaching for kids ( boys and girls) will resume this Saturday, March 4, The nursery group ( under- sixes) start at 9.45 a. m., with the under- eights and under- 10s at 10.30 a. m. New players always very welcome.

CLOTHES RECYCLING

The Drumcliffe- Rosses Point GAA Club will hold a clothing recycling collection day on Saturday week March 11 ( 10 a. m. to 1 p. m.). If you’ve any unwanted clothes/ bed linen etc, this is the spring- clean event for you. There will be two collection points: Oxfield Community Centre and the promenade car park opposite Harry’s Bar in Rosses Point. For more info, contact Aidan O’Reilly at 087 9785311.

BOSTON FOR YEATS

Preparatio­ns are well under way for the upcoming Yeats United FC Boston Tea Party which takes place on Saturday, March 25, in the Radisson Blu Hotel to raise funds for pitch developmen­t. If anyone wishes to host an additional table please contact club secretary Jean Gaule at 086 6419669.

The annual charity tractor run ( organised by local entreprene­ur Luke Kerrigan) in aid of the Irish Kidney Associatio­n will take place this year on Monday, April 2,

CARNEY LISSADELL 10K

This year’s Carney Lissadell 10k event will take place on Easter Monday, April 17, Plenty of time to get a bit of training in before this hugely popular race meeting. Online entries will be open shortly on runireland. com and Oxfield. ie.
