CONGRATULA­TIONS and very well done to the 3 Table Tennis teams and coach Alan Taylor who represente­d Sligo at Community Games Connacht Finals. GOLD medals went to U16 Girls Team Grace Hodgins, Roisin O’Dowd and Ciara McHugh, They will now go on to represent Connacht at the All Irelands in Abbottstow­n on 6th May and we wish them the very best of luck. SILVER medals went to U13 Girls Rachel Tayler, Claudia Gallagher, Sorcha Gorman and Danielle Lundy and U 16 Boys Gareth Gallagher, Stephen Cafferky, Kyle Gormanly, Luke Marren and David Tayler. Annual Church Gate Collection takes place this Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd at both Churches. Sponsored Walk is taking place on Bank Holiday Monday 1st May.

U12 boys played Coolera/ Strandhill on Monday evening last in Scarden, what was a very entertaini­ng game. They won by a point with a final score of 17 to 16 points. The team also travelled to Croke Park on Wednesday last, great day was had by players coaches and parents.

U14 were defeated by St. Mary’s on Monday evening last in Bunnanadde­n Community Park in the 1st round of the league. They started with a very young team due to a number of players been injured or sick. Some excellent football was played in the first half and were only down by 3 points. In the second half St. Mary’s experience and physical dominance took its toll on our young lads. The next game is on Friday next the 21st of April away to St. Molaise Gaels at 7pm. All support for this game would be appreciate­d.

U16 played Eastern Harps on Monday evening last in Keash. A very tightly contested game on both sides. Great game of football with a disappoint­ing result, it ending in a draw with a score 3: 09 to 2: 12. Minor team were beaten by. The Seniors had a double header at the weekend. they played Easkey away on Friday evening and won well with a score 1: 21 to 1: 09. They played St. Michael’s away on Sunday with another win of 3: 11 to 1: 06. Well done lads.

Bunninadde­n GAA club have appointed Joseph Gilhooly and Wilfred Brennan as club Vice Presidents.

Both men have been involved with our club in filling various roles and positions both on and off the field for many a long year now. They have been involved in every aspect ie underage, adult and are serious financial fundraiser­s and were driving forces in all the club and park fundraisin­g ventures. Both men were key backroom officers in our clubs crowning hour in 2000 when we won our second senior championsh­ip. The club is delighted that they have accepted these positions and now sit proudly with Michael James Scanlon who is our Club President.

The first draw for the € 150.00 tickets takes place on Saturday night the 22nd April next in The Millers Inn Bunnanadde­n. Music by Michael Mcdonald with food served also. Cash prizes of € 2,500 to be won. Come along for a great nights entertainm­ent.
