CARRICK WATER MUSIC FESTIVAL
The hig hlig ht of the Festival and in their only Irish summer show of 2017, The Waterboys play the Landmark Central on Sunday 16th July. A unique mag ic between Mike Scott and Steve Wickham and their strong connections to the North West of Ireland make this concert a rare treat for Carrick- on- Shannon.

Joining Mike Scott on vocals, g uitar and piano, Steve Wickham on electric fiddle, are g reat Memphis keyboard player and showman Brother Paul, ace drummer Ralph Salmins, leg endary Muscle Shoals bassman David Hood and sharp Austin g uitarist Zach Ernst.
Each day of the Festival from 12th – 16th July 2017 opens with lunchtime entertainment offering concerts from award winning classical musicians Jessie de Bellis and South Korean born Young - Choon Park to the hilariously funny multi- instrumentalists and comic performers The Von Drip Duo. Something for every ag e to start the day. Evening shows bring to town some of Ireland’s foremost contemporary music with Crash Ensemble while all lovers of operetta and the Silver Screen will enjoy “Will You Remember?” A Celebration of MGM leg ends Jeanette MacDonald & Nelson Eddy. The Dublin Gospel Choir completes the evening line- up with the music continuing at the Late Nig ht Festival Club on Friday and Saturday .

MICHAEL ROONEY AND JUNE MCCORMACK
On Thursday the 29th of June, the next instalment of the Hawk’s Well Theatre’s Duets at the Well series continues with husband and wife duo, Michael Rooney and June McCormack.
Monag han harpist and current TG4 Composer of the Year, Michael Rooney and Slig o flute player June McCormack will perform this special concert. This husband and wife duo, known as Draíocht, are veterans of the traditional Irish music scene. They have received major awards and have produced two acclaimed recording s. Both make an enormous contribution to the traditional music landscape of county Slig o today.

ANNA LIVIA LESBIA
Anna Livia Lesbia is a play written by Joni Crone, a Dublin woman who ‘ came out’ on the Late Late Show almost 40 years ag o. Joni now lives in Leitrim and her play is currently touring with Manorhamilton based theatre company Splódar. The play comes to the Hawk’s Well Theatre on July 1st.
CAIRDE FESTIVAL
Cairde Slig o Arts Festival is an annual multidisciplinary arts festival whose core ethos is to celebrate cultural diversity and inclusion throug h a hig hly imag inative prog ramme of events. Each year in July, Slig o transforms into a kaleidoscope of colourful cultural happening s with an incredible rang e of visual art, kids events, theatre, spoken word, performance and music from all over the world. This year’s festival takes place from July 9th to 15th with over 40 events taking place in venues throug hout Slig o town and into Slig o County.
H ig hlig hts for 2017 include aerial theatre by The Barren Carousel, acclaimed Finnish children’s theatre company Kallo Collective, music by Irish- Persian Ensemble Nava, g uitar duo Redmond O’Toole and John Walsh, Leonard Barry’s newly formed trad outfit New Road and The Clandestinos; theatre with Pat Kinevane and Aindrias di Staic; family concert with Kíla and the site specific The Walls have Ears by Bottlenote Music. The festival’s fourth annual open submission exhibition, Cairde Visual will be presented at The Model. The festival presents a g reat rang e of artists across all media.
VONDA SHEPARD
Appearing for the first time in Ireland since 2004, Ally McBeal song stress, Vonda Shepard will be returning with her band for a handful of rare performances and will be at the Hawk’s Well Theatre on Friday 30th of June at 8pm.
