PARISH ENHANCEMENT
One of the nicest features of the recent parish enhancement initiative is the flower box planting at our local cemeteries at Achonry and Courtabbey. Well done to all involved. The next committee meeting will take place on Tuesday, July 4, at 9.30 p. m. in the Parochial House.
NACE O’DOWD PARK
Works continue at Nace O’Dowd Park this past week with the excavation of the new walking/ running track. Installation of the new steel spectator fence has also begun. A new all weather sand training area will soon be installed.
The new modern playing pitch is looking splendid, nearing completion and will soon be ready for use once again. Thanks to all the park users for your continued patience during the period of construction.

8K ROAD RACE
The Coolaney- Mullinabreena GAA second annual 8k Road race will take place in Coolaney on Wednesday, July 5, at 7.30 p. m. Run, Jog or Walk this well organised and chip timed event in what promises to be a great occasion with numbers expected to be well up following last year’s success. Refreshments served.
CARROWMORE SCHOOL
The friends of Carrowmore School group have announced plans for a Rambling house/ social event in the School on Saturday, August 12, More details to follow.
