Arrow Harps Registrati­on for this season will take place in the Cooper Memorial Hall, Riverstown from 6 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. on Saturday, August 12. All players must be registered.

CEMETERY MASS

There will be a Cemetery Mass held in Ballyrush graveyard on the Bank Holiday Monday, August 7, at midday

CHURCH GATE COLLECTION

Riverstown Community Games will be holding a church gate collection on Saturday, August 26, and August 27 in local churches. Any support would be greatly appreciate­d.

LOUGH GILL HOSPICE SWIM

A mega family day will take place in conjunctio­n with this year’s annual Lough Gill Hospice Swim on Saturday, August 12, from midday to 4 p.m. at Back Avenue, Sligo.

Entry is free. Abbott Ireland has come on board as a partner for the family day.

The event starts with a 10k from Park’s Castle to the Boat house on the Back Avenue, followed by a relay which takes place at the pontoon area, and then/wetsuit one mile swim.

The finish area is at the Boathouse and always has a fantastic festival atmosphere with music and activities for children and families.

SUMMER STARS

Summer Stars is up and running again at Dromahair Library. All children are welcome to participat­e in the summer Stars programme. Free to join. Library open Tuesday 12.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday 2.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. (closed for mini break 4 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.). Wonderful new books have arrived just in time for you to read and enjoy.
