GARLAND SUNDAY

Well done to everyone involved with Garland Sunday for a fantastic day of fun and enjoyment for all. The intermittent heavy showers caused little or no difficulty with plenty of space to stand in out of these heavy down pours. So much effort was obvious and it was great to see a fine crowd attend notwithstanding the heavy showers and football matches being played in Croke Park at this time.

This is an integral part of the history of our parish and without the many organisers who spend endless hours preparing and indeed the support of the people of our parish and beyond; this wonderful event would be lost. It is far from easy in the times that we live in to keep these events alive.

If you can support either financially or by helping out in one way or another, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you to Fr Gabriel for taking up his annual role on the microphone and keeping us all entertained throughout.

BAPTISM

Congratulations to Raymond and Lisa Garvin, Lurgan and indeed their two daughters Kayla and Gráinne on the baptism at St Kevin’s church Keash recently of their son/brother James Michael.

CEMETERY MASSES

Thank you to Fr Gabriel and all his helpers for all the work involved in preparation and conducting of annual Masses in both Knockbrack and Templevanney Graveyards.
