HOSPICE COFFEE DAY

Everyone is invited to come along to Riverstown Pharmacy on Thursday, September 14, from 9.30 a.m. onwards to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in aid of the North West Hospice. Any support would be appreciated.

PARENT/TODDLER GROUP

COFFEE MORNING

Sooey NS will host a ‘Coffee Morning’ in aid for the North West Hospice on Friday, September 15, from midday to 2 p.m. in the school. Please support.

KIDS JIVING LESSIONS

Kids jiving lessons will start on Tuesday, September 19, in Morrison Cottage Riverstown at 6.30 p.m. Aged 5+. Contact Annette 086 1685170 or see A & C Country Jiving Facebook page.

8K FUN RUN

There will be an 8K Fun Run/ walk plus a children’s run on Sunday, October 1, in Riverstown at 2 p.m. Registration will take place in Little Buddies on Sunday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

And before race from 1 p.m. to 1.45 p.m. Both races will begin promptly at 2 p.m. This is a timed event. Mini race/walk to include Community Park. Suitable for younger children and pushchairs. Entry: Adult €10, child €5. Family €25.

Refreshments available after event. Walkers welcome on both routes. All proceeds in aid of Little Buddies.

IRISH DANCING

Irish dancing classes will continue in Riverstown Community Hall on Monday at 5.30 p.m. New dancers always welcome.

SEAN NÓS DANCING

Sean nós dancing classes are back with Eimear Mulvey in the Morrison Cottage, Riverstown from Sunday, September 24. Beginners 11.30 a.m. to midday, Intermediate 12 to 12.30 p.m. And Advanced 10.15 to 11.15 a.m. Registration night for new members will take place on Monday, September 11, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Morrison Cottage. SAFETY TRAINING

The following safety courses will be run in Millview House (Sligo Folk Park), Riverstown: PHECC First Aid Response (OOI Occupational First Aid) on Friday, September 29, and Friday, October 6, and 13. Cardiac First Response will take place on Saturday, November 4. Basic First Aid will take place on Saturday, November 18. ADR/Hazchem Tanker Training also available. SHAMROCK GAELS

The club will be hosting ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ on Friday, November 17, in the Clayton Hotel. This will be a major fundraising event for the upkeep and maintenance of the main pitch in Coola and also the gaelic pitch in Riverstown Park. Any support would be greatly appreciated.
