TABLE TENNIS CLUB

Bunninadde­n Table Tennis Club would like to sincerely thank everyone who made the Tractor, Honda, and Vintage Car Run a huge success on Sunday, October 22.

To the outstandin­g community of Bunninadde­n and surroundin­g areas and beyond who came out in huge numbers to support the fundraiser for MS Therapy Centre, Sligo and Bunninadde­n Table Tennis Club.

We want to thank the sponsors of prizes on the day, marshalls, ladies for making the tea, sandwiches, and delicious home baking, for the use of the community centre, church carpark, and grounds at National School. To the tennis players for demonstrat­ing their skills on the day, and to the parents of the club for their continued support and assistance.

Thanks to everyone who donated towards the fundraiser but could not take part on the day.

Bunninadde­n Table Tennis Club welcomes children and adults to training every Thursday night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Bunninadde­n Community Centre.

SCHOOL TRANSPORT

There was a good attendance at the meeting in the community centre to discuss the school transport service to St Attracta’s Community School, Tubbercurr­y into the future.

TD’s in attendance were Tony McLoughlin, and Martin Kenny apologies were received from Eamon Scanlon, and Marc McSharry. Local councillor­s were also in attendance with apologies from Jerry Lundy. What parents are asking for is to retain the route and retain the service which is in existence prior to 2017/2018.

Scoil Mhuire agus Iosaf, Collooney will hold an Enrolment Day for Junior Infants starting September 2018 on Wednesday, November 15, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Junior School. This will be an opportunit­y to view the classroom, meet the teacher and for the children to meet fellow classmates.
