OCTOBER SOCIAL DANCE
The October Dance in the community centre, Skreen will be held on Saturday, October 28, when the music for dancing will be provided by Kay & the Country Stars.
GIRL GUIDES FUNDRAISER
The Tireragh Girl Guide Group recently hosted a Social Dance in the Skreen-Dromard Community Centre in aid of the Victoria Thompson Scholarship. The Scholarship is in memory of Victoria, who lived exactly nine months and required palliative care as a result of a rare disease. The Scholarship helps nurses to specialize in Palliative Care for children.
Through the Fundraising Social Dance the Tireragh Girl Guides and their leaders raised €3,720 for the Scholarship Fund. the Guides and their leaders sincerely thank everyone who supported this event in any way.
HOSPICE COFFEE THANKS
The recently held coffee morning in the home of Hugh and Helen Kilgallen raised €810 for the hospice. A big thank you to everyone who attended. Your support was very much appreciated.
DANCE CLASS TIME CHANGE
Social Dance classes are held in Skreen-Dromard Community Centre every Wednesday night. Please note change of times – now 8.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. All abilities welcome.
BOYS BASKETBALL
An interest has been shown re our recent query for the setting up a Basketball Club for boys. Volunteers are needed to help the coaches run the sessions. If you would like to help with the setting up of the club please ring Anne Marie at 087 6649635.
OFFICE OPEN
The office in the Skreen Community Centre is open for all office needs such as photocopying typing creation and printing of posters and flyers etc for a small cost. Call Anne Marie at 087 6649635 for opening hours.
COOKERY CLASSES
Beltra ICA are holding Cookery Classes in Beltra Hall every Tuesday night at 8 p.m.
COACH TOUR
A Coach Tour to Liffey Valley will take place on Saturday, December 2, Everyone welcome but booking is essential. To book contact 096 49020.
DIAMOND LADIES LUNCH
The annual Diamond Ladies Lunch Fundraiser in aid of Shout (Sligo Hospital Oncology Unit Trust) will take place in the Diamond Coast Hotel on Friday, December 1. Tickets are €50 per person. To register your interest in attending and to book your place contact Moya at 087 6811781.
