PRESENTATI­ON OF PRIZES: At the recent presentati­on of prizes for the end of the golfing year the following major prizes were presented.

Golfer of the year: Sponsor Gillespie Menswear & Sport; Winner Damien Keenan.

Singles Match play: Sponsor Roger McCarrick; Winner Damien Keenan.

Men’s Fourball Match play: Sponsor Scanlon Insurance; Winners Vinny Murphy Keith Feehily.

The golfer of year for ladies was presented to Betty Scanlon by Lady Captain Marie O’Hara. The prize was sponsored by Westil Utilities in Curry. Winter league

The winter league sponsored by CMD group training started on Sunday November 12th.

Teams of 4 made up of ladies men and juniors. The top 12 teams qualify for final in January. There are 4 rounds to be played and the best 3 cards count AGM

The AGM of the club will be held on the clubhouse on Friday 24th at 8.30 p.m.

Nomination­s and motions to be sent to secretary by Friday 17th. Nomination and motion forms available in clubhouse.

MEN’S Branch

At the weekend we wrapped up the final 18 hole competitio­ns.

Padraic Tuffy continued his excellent form with 43 points on Saturday and this was even more noteworthy after celebratin­g on Friday night at the outgoing Captain Leo McNally’s dinner until the “wee hours”.

Well done Padraic great scoring and keep the driver safe it’s becoming more valuable by the week.

The first round of the Strandhill Lodge & Suites Winter league took place on Sunday and the competitor­s faced very windy conditions and some wintery showers.

Round two is on Sunday 19th November. RESULTS

IT is with much regret that our club lost our fellow member and friend Mark Templeton White.

Mark passed away on Friday last. Mark was a much valued member of our club and will be sadly missed by all.

Everyone at the club would like to offer Mark’s family and friends our deepest condolence­s. RIP. Course Presentati­on

All members are invited to the Golf Course presentati­on taking place in Castle Dargan Hotel this coming Thursday (16th November) at 8pm.
